How to setup Outlook Express 6
1.
Open Microsoft Outlook Express 6.
2. Click the
Tools
menu, and select
Accounts...
3. Click on the
Mail
tab, and select
Add
>
Mail…
4. This will start the
Internet Connection Wizard
to step you through the setup process. In the first screen, enter your
Display name
. This will be the name you want people to see when you email them.
5. Enter your
E-mail address
.
6. Enter the
Email Server Names
for the incoming and outgoing mail servers. This will often be mail.yourdomainname.com.au, where “yourdomainname.com.au” is the domain that you have paid for, and are hosting on the server to manage your Emails.
7. Enter the
Account name
and
Password
for your Email account. The
Account name
will be your Email address. The
Password
is the password you have assigned, or that has been provided to you by AABrothers.
Note: by ticking the box
Remember password
you will not be prompted to enter your password every time Outlooks Express checks for mail.
8. Click on
Next
then
Finish
to complete the wizard and return to the
InternetAccounts
screen.
9. In the
Internet Accounts
window, highlight your account, and click on the
Properties
button to edit the advanced options for your account.
10. In your Email account
Properties
window, click on the
Servers
tab. Under
Outgoing Mail Server
tick the box marked
My server requires authentication
, and then click the
Settings…
button.
11. In the
Outgoing Mail Server
window, make sure that
Use same settings as my incoming mail server
is marked, and click
Ok
.
12. Click the
Apply
button on the
Properties
window then
Ok
to go back to the
Internet Accounts
window, and then click
Close
to go back to the main Outlook screen. Your emails are now configured.
13.
If is not possible to send the email on the port 25 because your internet provider block the port, then try the port 580 instead of the port 25.
