How to setup Outlook 2003
1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2003.
Note: If this is the very first time you have started outlook, it will automatically start the wizard to configure your emails. If this is the case, click on
Next
to start the wizard, and check the box marked
Yes
and click
Next
to configure an email account. Continue onto step
4
if this wizard has started, otherwise, go to step
2
2.
Click the
Tools
menu, and select
E-mail Accounts
... to start the wizard.
3. Check the box marked
Add a new e-mail account
and click
Next
to display the Email accounts
Server Type
screen.
4. From the
Server Type
options, check the box marked
POP3
and click
Next.
5. On the
Internet Email Settings (POP3)
window, complete the fields with your personal and account details:
Note: “yourdomain.com.au” should be replaced with the domain name you have purchased and are hosting on our servers, or the AABrothers provided domain name
Your Name:
Enter the name you wish to be displayed on emails sent. This is often just your first and last name
Email Address:
your email address, eg
your.name@yourdomain.com.au
Incoming mail server:
mail.yourdomain.com.au
Outgoing mail server:
mail.yourdomain.com.au
Username:
this is the full email address for your account, eg
your.name@yourdomain.com.au
Password:
This is the password you have assigned, or that has been provided to you by AABrothers.
Note: by ticking the box
Remember password
you will not be prompted to enter your password every time outlooks checks for mail.
6. Click the
More Settings
… button and then the
Outgoing Server
tab on the Internet email Settings window that opens.
7. Check the box next to
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
and select
Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click
OK
once complete.
Note: If emails are not sending due to port restrictions from your ISP, you will need to assign port 580 as your outgoing port number. This can be found on the
Advanced
tab in the
Internet Email Settings
window.
8. On the main
E-mail Accounts – Internet Email Settings (POP3)
window, click
Test Account Settings
... After receiving
Congratulations! All tests completed successfully
, click
Close
, then Click
Next
on the
E-mail Accounts – Internet Email Settings (POP3)
window.
9. On the final
Congratulations!
Screen, click
Finish
to go to your inbox.
